Why it matters
Same pull request. Very different wait.
Two well-known projects with almost the same number of stars. Stars tell you nothing about how long you will wait.
Median wait for a first human reply on pull requests from outside the team, across 139 and 131 pull requests. The track is 14 days long. The pair is picked by rule: among the 40 most starred projects that merge outside pull requests on GitHub, the two within 10% of each other in stars with the widest gap.
